Boanerges Gets a New Look

I was just as surprised as you may have been when I saw the new template on my blog this morning; it didn't look like that when I went to bed last night! I was messing around with other templates, but it kept throwing my sidebar down to the bottom, so I gave up before I saved anything...or so I thought. However, it appears the new template stuck. I'm not sure what I think, I just wanted to try a change and this was one of the few templates I hadn't seen used a lot that I thought looked decent. Let me know what you think in the comment section. Which looks better, the old look or the new?

i think it blows, mihelis.
jk; although on my screen it
is a bit bright.
what is the contraption in the upper-left corner: lighthouse? gazebo? pagoda? (not to be confused with conan's famed character - vagoda; that's for your benefit, baylor).

i say flip a coin,
logan

This template accentuates your sensitivity. I say keep this template, but change your id picture back to you in the sweater vest [for that Dr. Phil appeal] or you in your spandex wrestling jumpsuit from high school [for the Maurry appeal].

The easy-going, non-confrontational feel of the theme clashes horribly with the abrasive definition of "Boanerges" at the top. Change one or the other, man.

Arrogant theological punk...

Well, I like it.

Ouch. Thanks Pitts.

Logan - it is a lighthouse. kinda cheesy, but also kinda cool I think.

Fitzy - that could just mean I have good taste.

Baylor - never mind.

Pitchford - you do raise a good point, I hadn't considered. Nevertheless, the dialectical combo could have it's advantages...

thomas watches dr. phil religiously, and has never mentioned seeing him in sweater vests. now dave doran - that's another thing all together.

I actually do like it, I was just being an ass again.

Since this is something I can understand on this blog (decorating vs deep theology :-) I think I will comment! I personally like it, and if you wonder if a lighthouse and "sons of thunder" can mesh, how about this . . . a little symbolism through word association - lighthouse > ocean > waves are "thunderous". If I'm stretching it you can say so but I thought it was a good reach. Anyway, I still like the lighthouse and having raised you, think you are secure enough in your manhood to pull it off! Love, Mom :-)

Personally, I'm with fitzage on this one.

Suggestion: try one of these free Blogger templates (3 pages worth). I used to use one from this site and I had no problems with it. You can also do a search for "free Blogger templates" for other possibilities.

Or better yet, migrate your blog over to Wordpress.com. It is free, has better functions and altogether cooler templates than Blogger. And with the push of one button it will automatically import your posts and comments over to Wordpress!
